Croydon Adult Learning and Training (CALAT) has been given the task of finding the borough's budding entrepreneurs; people who have just started their own business or individuals who would like to set up their own business but need help. This forms a key part of the Croydon Enterprise programme.
CALAT Beauty Therapy training is open to Croydon residents, male or female, with an interest in developing an existing hobby, service or business providing beauty, health or personal grooming services. Training will provide the necessary skills to enhance people's professional skills and future business success.
The main programme of courses offers training in the following courses:
ITEC Beauty Specialist Diploma covering Skin and Eyecare, Make-up, Manicure and Pedicure, Waxing, and Professional Conduct and Business Awareness.
ITEC Nail Technology covering Manicure and Pedicure, Nail Technology, and Professional Conduct and Business Awareness.
ITEC Holistic Massage covering Massage theory and practice, Anatomy & Physiology and Professional conduct and Business Awareness.
ITEC Nail Art Level 2 and ITEC Nail Art Level 3 covering a variety of techniques across both courses (access to these courses is only possible if you hold a Level 3 qualification in Nail Technology).
ITEC Facial Electricals Level 3 covering Faradic, High Frequency, Galvanic, Microcurrent, Vacuum suction, Infra Red, Steam and Brush Clean treatments (access to this course is only possible if you hold a Level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy)
