Croydon Enterprise sits within the Local Strategic Partnership governance structure.  The role and membership of key groups within the structure are as follows:

Croydon Council is the accountable body for the programme and is responsible for: financial probity and the delivery of targets set out in the agreement between Croydon Council and Government Office for London (GOL).

Croydon Enterprise Cabinet Committee is nominated by the Croydon Council Cabinet and is ultimately responsible for delivery of the contract with GOL. It will have the final decision on the direction and strategy and on all expenditure.  Agenda and minutes are available here

The Croydon Advisory Board is responsible for making recommendations to the Croydon Enterprise Cabinet Committee on different aspects of the programme, including:

  • the strategy for developing and delivering the programme; and
  • projects that meet the programme’s strategic objectives.

The Board is made up of members representative of the private, community/voluntary and statutory sectors.

Four Sub Groups have been established which engage the business community and key stakeholders in the development of the Croydon Enterprise programme.  These allow more detailed discussion of issues being considered by the Advisory Board.  The groups are:

  • Potential entrepreneurs
  • Business creation and business growth
  • Business environment
  • Business premises
