Communications will help the programme deliver at strategic and operational level.
A communication strategy has been agreed to ensure that communications have focus and that messages remain consistent. A communications protocol has also been agreed between Croydon Council and Croydon Business Ltd as joint sponsors of the original LEGI bid.
The objective of this communications strategy is to support the aims of the programme.
In achieving these aims the communications strategy will advance the following key messages:
- Enterprise is regenerating Croydon
- Croydon welcomes entrepreneurs
- Croydon’s communities are key players in the programme
The target audiences for the communication strategy include:
- ‘Potential entrepreneurs’, residents and businesses in the target areas.
- People excluded from traditional sources of support and finance, particularly BAME groups
- Local entrepreneurs
- Croydon Business Ltd
- The regional business community
- Business representatives
- Politicians at national, regional, constituency and borough level
- Stakeholder organisations in the public, voluntary and community sector
- Professional interest groups
- Potential delivery organisations
